Thirty filmmakers whose films are ready for distribution will present their projects in two-minute pitches to programme makers, distributors and sales agents. Join us and possibly find your next premiere film.

Bartholomew Sammut was named "Most Promising New Filmmaker" at the Warner Roadshow New QLD Filmmakers Awards in 2000 and from then on worked on a number of television programmes for SBS Television Australia, most notably Eatcarpet, the late night program showcasing intelligent, experimental and quirky short films. They have continued to produce a number of short films and has worked on a number of short film festivals. Bartholomew's short films have been shown at many international LGBTQ+ film festivals. In 2006 he founded the XPOSED International Queer Film Festival Berlin. In 2009, Bartholomew started working for the Panorama section of the Berlin International Film Festival and became part of the selection committee in recent years. Since 2019, they have been programme director for the Panorama and a member of the Berlinale Series selection committee. Bartholomew also programmes the Berlin Short Film Reel, which is shown every year at the open-air cinema in Friedrichshain, Berlin, and in 2015 founded the Queer Short Film Fund, an initiative of the XPOSED International Queer Film Festival, to promote and support queer film production in Germany.
